Built for everyday drivers
RoadPulse is available to individual drivers and is not restricted to employees, municipalities, fleet operators, clients, or partner organizations.
Anyone in a supported country may download and open the app. No employment relationship, business affiliation, invitation, municipal authorization, or RoadPulse account is required for public app access.
Some data-collection functions require compatible RoadPulse equipment. Drivers may apply to receive or borrow equipment through the RoadPulse Driver Program, subject to regional availability.
Publicly available to download and use without a RoadPulse account.
Available through a separate driver-program application where inventory exists.
Available separately for municipalities, fleets, infrastructure operators, and research teams.
Volunteer without changing how you drive
Download RoadPulse
Get the RoadPulse iOS app from the App Store and open it on a compatible iPhone.
Review the public app
Use the public screens to understand RoadPulse, permissions, supported equipment, and participation options. No account is required.
Choose how to help
You can apply for compatible RoadPulse equipment if hardware-supported collection is available in your region.
Drive normally
When compatible equipment is connected and collection is enabled, RoadPulse records measurements during normal journeys.
Contribute safer road information
RoadPulse combines repeated measurements to highlight roughness, unusual impacts, and road segments that may need attention.
Useful before hardware approval
A normal App Store user can open the app and access public information without belonging to an organization. Hardware-supported road measurement starts only when compatible equipment is connected.
Become a RoadPulse volunteer driver
Volunteer drivers help RoadPulse collect broader and more frequent road-condition measurements. Participation is open to individual members of the public and is not limited to RoadPulse customers or municipal employees.
Is the app free?
The RoadPulse driver app is free to download, and individual drivers do not pay to create or maintain a RoadPulse account because no account is required.
What about hardware?
RoadPulse may provide compatible sensing equipment to selected volunteer drivers at no charge or on a temporary-loan basis where available.
Organizations
Municipalities, fleets, infrastructure operators, and research organizations may separately pay for reports, dashboards, deployments, or services.
Drive first. Never operate the app while driving.
Set up RoadPulse before beginning a journey. Do not hold, adjust, or interact with your phone or RoadPulse equipment while the vehicle is moving. Installation must not obstruct the driver's view or interfere with vehicle controls, airbags, or safety systems.
Privacy in plain language
RoadPulse sensor files may include precise location, timestamps, device identifiers, speed, GPS quality, and motion measurements. Collection occurs when compatible equipment has recorded files and the app transfers them. The current app does not create user accounts and does not collect advertising identifiers or analytics.
RoadPulse may use uploaded and derived data to operate, secure, and improve the service, including model development and aggregated road-condition outputs for customers. Users can contact RoadPulse to request deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
Clear answers for public drivers
Do I need to work for a municipality?
No. Any eligible individual can download RoadPulse and use the public app. The driver hardware program is open to individual volunteers where available.
Do I need an invitation?
No invitation is required to download the app or view the public driver information.
Does RoadPulse have to approve my app access?
No. Approval may apply separately to RoadPulse-owned equipment, special pilots, or particular regional deployments, but not to downloading the public app.
Does the app require an account?
No. The current RoadPulse Helper app does not create user accounts and does not require an account to open the public app experience.
Can I use the app without RoadPulse hardware?
You can review program information, support material, privacy information, and participation options without hardware. Road-condition measurement requires compatible RoadPulse equipment.
Does the app cost anything?
The public driver app is free to download. Individual drivers do not pay to create an account because no RoadPulse account is required. Professional organizational services may be separately priced.
Can any organization use RoadPulse?
Eligible municipalities, fleet operators, researchers, infrastructure organizations, and other organizations may contact RoadPulse. The service is not restricted to a fixed list of existing clients.
